An incomplete copper-alloy Middle Iron Age La Tène Type brooch, dating to the period c. 400-200 BC. Much of the brooch survives, namely the humped bow, with a recurving, narrowed end where the coiled spring and pin would have been, and a flattened end where the catch-plate would have developed. The bow is oval in cross section. The object is 30mm long , 5mm thick at centre, 11mm wide and weighs 2.97g. See Hattatt (2000; 2007; fig. 147, no. 725) for a similar example
